Capturing NEW life…

Throughout the beginning months of this new year our studio has had the privilege to photograph and document the life changing moments of these families. These three families in particular have been so sweet in their maternity and newborn sessions – we couldn’t possibly pass up the opportunity to share their sessions with you.

The Mailloux Family

Wayde has known Kate since she was in grade school with his daughter Carly. This past month we have had the honor of photographing Kate’s maternity session with her husband John and two kiddos Emery and Titus. Soon after the Mailloux’s had their third child and brought little baby Pearl into the studio for new born photos! We are so excited as we have the chance to watch this young family as they continue to grow. Congratulations John and Kate and welcome to the world, Pearl!

The Schmidt Family

Scott and Ashley came to us for the fist time to capture the early days of their beautiful little boy. Harrison was born on March 18th and came in for his newborn photography session just a mere eight days later. This precious little boy is the first born for the Schmidt’s. Throughout the photography experience and getting to know Scott and Ashley it is evident that they are wonderful parents. We can’t wait to photograph little Harrison as he grows as well as continues to transform and brighten Scott and Ashley’s lives. Congratulations to Scott and Ashley and welcome to the world, Harrison!

The Sharkey Family

Michael and Karen are the parents to the little bundle of joy, baby Hezekiah. The two came in for their maternity session in January of this year and Hezekiah was born on March 15th. The newborn session was just over two weeks later. Hezekiah was the sweetest thing throughout the entire session. There is nothing more precious than baby toes and innocent expression. Congratulations Michael and Karen and welcome to the world, Hezekiah!

30 Things I’ve Learned…

30 things I’ve learned about photography over the past 30 years of being in business….

1. Always have Kleenex ready for sessions involving kids

2. Always have Kleenex ready for sessions for moms and graduates

3. People always ask what my favorite age to photograph kids is – four year olds are the best

4. Have Multiple backups of your photos in multiple places.

5. I could have been working at Patrick Cudahy with my father

6. Boudoir photography should be done by women

7. I am a minimalist

8. Photo editing is an art in and of itself

9. I love faces, hands, and feelings

10. I love what I do

11. My talent is a gift from God – I have to share it!

12. The larger the photo is printed the more value you will associate it with

13. I love large family groups

14. It’s usually the nut behind the wheel, not the camera in the hand.

15. Best treat for kids is Kelllogs fruit snacks from Sams Club

16. Best trick to distract kids under the age of 4 is looking for the kitty. (or puppy!)

17. Never tell a child to smile

18. Only show your best photos

19. I love a variety of expressions

20. Being copied is a form of flattery.

21. Window lighting gives the most beautiful light

Now, many years later that dream continues as I have had the privilege of capturing the memories of special occasions and milestones for thousands of people. It’s that time of year again! We are searching for our 2016 Senior Models! We are so excited to launch our new high school senior year with rocking models! What does it mean to be a Senior Model? Don’t let the word “model” intimidate you… consider it more like an ambassador… for babbonis. We advertise our services to seniors throughout southeastern Wisconsin each year and we use your fantastic portraits to do so.

As a representative of our studio, this means you share with your friends about your experience and get stuff for it! What’s in it for you? LOTS!! Here are the five main reasons you are going to want to be apart of this program….

1) Additional Time

First of all, you get extra time and attention with not one but two sessions. The first we do as early as February as we start to launch our Campaigns. The second sitting is scheduled in June to give you the chance to get those awesome outdoor shots as well!

As we work with you through the next couple months we start to get to know you on a more personal level, which gives you the advantage to get the most out of your Senior Portrait experience!

2) More Images to Share

With two sittings – you’re going to have tons of favorite images! Lucky for our Senior Models not only do they get additional digital Facebook images, they receive a digital slideshow of favorites. This allows you to share your images to whomever you want. Also, with having two sessions you have double the selection for when you place your final order.

We provide you with a rocking magazine of images from your first sitting for you to show to your friends.
